The Covered Bridge Trail would be within Canton and North Canton.
The Covered Bridge Trail will be an important east-west connector through the northern suburbs of Canton. This route will primarily serve as a neighborhood connector and will connect the West Branch Trail at Covered Bridge Park to the Middlebranch Trail at Martindale Park. The trail will go through two historic cemeteries (North Lawn and Forest Hills).
The cemeteries are picturesque open space areas with internal road networks, suitable for pedestrian and bicycle use. Cooperative agreements with the cemeteries will need to be established to allow public access. Utilizing residential streets and a power line easement, the route will extend east.
