Friends of Stark Parks

The Sanders Wildlife Rehabilitation Center has a long running standard for care and rehabilitation of native Ohio species. We receive and treat more than 1,000 orphaned and/or injured wildlife patients annually. Our mission is to provide each patient with the proper food, housing, and medical treatment necessary to return them to their natural environment.

Occasionally, because of the seriousness of the animal's injury, some rehab patients are unable to be released back into their environment. We have a special permit which allows animals with permanent injuries to possibly become residents of the Sanders Center. These animals are then eligible to be included in the Education Program and can make appearances at presentations where they assist in the instruction of natural history. To help in our endeavor to care for these fantastic creatures, we invite you to sponsor an animal in our Adopt an Animal program.*

Your sponsorship will help the Sanders Center acquire all the needed supplies (food, shelter, medicines, etc.) for the proper treatment of rehabilitated and resident animals. Because we receive such a large and vast amount of animals, their care can be quite costly. Your sponsorship will go directly towards these purposes.
