Sippo Valley Trail

The Massillon Parks & Recreation Department, with the support of a NatureWorks grant has completed the Sippo Valley Trail from the northwest corner of the city to the Wayne County line. The trail is used by walkers, runners, and bicyclists and is accessible from "The Bottoms" Park at 6th St. NW, Lincoln Park at 17th St. NW and at Bison Ave. NW (27th St.).

The trail project included the improvements and paving of the old Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad. Thanks to the cooperation of the FiberCorr Company, easements were granted to extend the trail into Lincoln Park that now has a newly paved parking lot. The trail will become part of and connect the Heart of Ohio Trails System and the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. For additional information on the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail check:
